"I just used the pack for a mule deer scouting trip. I found it to be very comfortable and it carried my spotting scope and related gear extremely well. The pockets on the hip belt and water bottle pouches were easy to reach and use which is much more than I can say about my previous pack. My only concern is how the big pouch next to the frame will do in rainy conditions, but that shouldn’t be a big deal. I do wish there was another external zippered compartment or two as the compartments inside of the big storage area can be a bit of a pain to access if that compartment is full of gear."

Q&A

Could this pack work as a personal item on an airline, or is it too big to fit under the seat in front of my seat?
The length is a bit long but it could still work as long as it isn't full. If it's full, the pack will be to large.
Looking for a carry on pack for European travel. Wondering if this will work? I understand European airlines are fussy about carry on bags? Thanks for any input.

Could this be used to pack out a quartered whitetail deer?
It depends on the size of the deer, but it's likely too small to pack out most quartered whitetails.
Will the load hauler work with the Venture Divide Series
