All around great vest.

"I have an Orvis field vest as well which is nice, but Kuiu has thought of a lot more design improvements. Here are some of the differences that make the Kuiu vest better. The “backpack” portion is very helpful, the keepers to hold the bird box open. More comfortable, adjustable, shoulder straps and overall fit. Waist belt taking weight off shoulders. The hydration compatibility was a big one for me for hot south TX dove hunts. Fold in pocket covers for quick access. All around great vest."

Great Vest

"I have had two other quality vests from upland hunting companies and this seems much better. One of the other straps interface with mounting of the gun and another had a buckle that would scratch my shotgun. The Kuiu shouldn’t have an issue with either of these things. I can’t wait to try it out !!"

Perfection achieved!

"Very well made, I expect nothing less from kuiu! I like the way it fits around the waist and shoulders and I love the one piece construction. It’s just perfect in every way even the little things like adding the kuiu water bottles and the big things too. I love the size and shape of the ammo/side pouches. The game pouch is truly the best feature with the structure bars and top opening clip for dog loading as well as the ease put game birds in from the side. Kuiu has thought of everything even the cleanup. I could have much more for final rise upland vests but wouldn’t have been any better, THANKS KUIU!"

Awesome product

"Great product. Definitely quality material and fit. I'm at a 36 waist. I choose the xl/XXL. It'll work fine, but if you're anywhere 34" waist or below get the size below. Also I'm not really impressed with the water bottles. No cap to them. They give you a couple pieces in the water bottle for the spout, but they're not caps. I took the spine out to see how it'd be for hunting with weight in it so I put 10 lbs in it. I will be putting the brace back in it. All in all I'm happy I got it. And it's a quality product. I can always ditch the water bottles."

Matthew J. (4/5)

Awesome fit

"I thought this might be bulky judging by some of the pictures but it fits me great. The water bottles don’t restrict my arms in any way. I plan to also use for turkey and I think it’ll be great for that. Seams to be very adaptable. Desert quail, fall wood duck, Midwest pheasant, spring run and gun turkey, I plan on using this for all of that."

Ryan M. (5/5)

Good pack

"I give it 4 stars out of 5. It does what I need for sure. Is it better than others? Don’t know because I haven’t tried others. I thought the price was high but I thought that about the others too. I did get 100 of because it’s camo and not blaze orange. Don’t understand how color effects the price."

Zachary S. (4/5)

Disappointed

"Vest fits well disappointed in size of game pouch too small. legal limits of multiple species won't fit. Also, Very disappointed that my purchase points were taken away with no notice."

Greg W. (3/5)

Excellent

"Great quality, almost perfect fit. Distributes weight evenly and can pack a lot of items in the backpack. Love that it comes with 2 water bottles."

Eric H. (4/5)

Very Nice Vest

"At first, I didn't like how far back the pockets on the sides were but after I tried it in the field, it was not that bad. They are kind of far back but that does get them out of the way when walking through brush. I didn't have any trouble reaching the water bottles. If you leave the pockets open (flaps in) they will gather some leaves and such but not a big deal. The weight transfer is really nice. I had it loaded down heavy but it felt much lighter on my shoulders. Overall, I'm happy."

Lucas W. (5/5)

Perfect for me

"I am very pleased with the vest seems to be made of good quality materials and yet lightweight so it doesn’t weigh more than the stuff your carrying in it it’s a little pricey but I think it’s worth the money!"

Q&A

I am 6"1 215lbs with 35" waist, feel like I am right between your sizes. Been looking through reviews for comparisons and see guys my size buying both sizes. Typically like my cloths snug, I presently own your Axis Thermal Hybrid in size large fits great. What size do you recommend?
The Medium/ Large size should work great for you!
The 2 32oz bottles do not squirt water like it should. The piece of rubber in the cap is not sitting down like it should. Is there a solution for this?
Please file a warranty claim using the link below so that we can look into this further for you. https://www.kuiu.mom/pages/warranty-form
It looks like the shell holders are Velcro closures. Do you see an upgrade to using magnetic closures anytime soon. My experience with Velcro through brush is never a good one
We have not been informed of any changes coming, but we would be happy to notify the development team that there is interest!
I'm right at 36-38 waist. That said, what would be best size to purchase M/L or XL/XXL? Want to be able to wear in multiple conditions from hot in a T-Shirt to cold in heavy jacket. I'm 6'0" 250 lbs. and usually wear XXL in your shirts and jackets.
You will want to select the XL/XXL size
