Reviews

Kutana storm shell jacket

"My first time out wearing the jacket the Cumbrian weather was up to it's usual tricks, very wet! Stalking Red Deer in the lake district is my full time job and after crawling through grass and peat bogs I was still dry as a bone. The only thing that let me down was my trousers, so my next purchase will 100% be the pants to match the jacket. Amazing gear guys, it never ceases to amaze me. Cheers Dan"

Quality Rain Jacket

"Ordered the jacket to go with the rain pants in this style already purchased. The pants kept me dry on a recent fishing trip to British Columbia where it often rains or there are wet conditions on the boat. I have favorable expectations that the jacket will do the same."

Ronnie A. (5/5)

Nice shell

"The cuffs could be a little bigger. It is harder tho get my hands into the sleeve. The rest of the jacket is nice. I love how the pull strings work to tighten spots up."

Micah g. (4/5)

Fabric is super soft and

"Fabric is super soft and quiet. Fit is pretty good, arms are a little snug over insulation layers. Nice piece."

Deakin H. (5/5)

Works as described. Would recommend

"Works as described. Would recommend to anyone in the market."

Murray W. (5/5)

I was looking for rain

"I was looking for rain gear that also works as a solid wind breaker. The material is strong, but at the same time this jacket allows for good air flow. In my opinion this jacket crushes the competition at this price point."

Jonathan R. (5/5)

Kutana Storm Shell

"Most excellent construction and fit! I purchased based upon online reviews and friend's direct comments combined with a mountain experience of being miserable in my cheap rain gear. The lightweight, function and durability is worth the price of staying dry and on the mountain!"

BRADLEY J. (5/5)

Runs small

"I purchased the large since it says to order your normal size and they are cut to fit over other jackets. The large fit snug with just a Tee shirt on so I sent it back in hopes that the xl will fit."

Wendell D. (3/5)

Stiff as a board

"I had no idea that it was going to be that stiff, but I don’t have time to send it back and I need it for my trip to Iceland so…"

Cinde P. (3/5)

Great gear!

"Great gear! Always fits and the performance is the best in the industry. Have not used this in the field yet but I love how light and packable it is."

Q&A

Are the front chest pockets flannel lined for your hands? If not, which waterproof shell is?
The Kutana Storm Shell Jacket does not have fleece lined pockets, but the HD Flex Storm Shell Jacket does for the upper hand pockets!
Which hunting rain gear is the most quiet
The Kutana Storm Shell rain gear is the quietest
What size Katuna Storm Shell should I buy? I have the Peloton 240 in Large which seems perfect but I also have a couple Base Camp Insulated Snap Shirts in medium that are spot on. I'm 5'7" and 160 lbs. It's hard to know from the reviews. Thank you for great products.
We recommend using the sizing guide to take measurements before ordering to ensure the proper fit. But if the large in the Peloton 240 fits, you'd likely be a size large in most of our other mid and outer layers.
Is it quite when stalking through brush or when the sleeve is rubbed against the body of the jacket. Which is the quietest and toughest rain jacket. Am thinking of the katuna
Our most durable rain gear is the Yukon; the Chugach TR is lighter but is as quiet as Yukon
