"Purchased a size 36. I am a size 32 or 33 waist in any jeans or shorts. The encounter seems like a perfect late September/early October whitetail pant. I like the bibs and everything seems great about them. I just don’t understand the sizing. I’m six feet tall, 195 lbs. I workout a lot in order to stay in shape for all hunting conditions. Therefore I have muscular legs, and I constantly feel like kuiu.mompletely ignores that and makes these pants for stick figures!"

"Best mid/late season pant on earth! Warm to 45ish by themselves, but room to layer for colder temps. Quiet comfortable and good freedom of movement. Included suspenders is a selling point for me as well!"

Excellent Pants only one flaw

"These Kuiu Encounter pants are excellent, comfortable, lightweight, great pocket system and outstanding suspenders. But KUIU reluctance to address the inseam length of 34” lets look at the options, add 32” lengths , a magnetic , snap or Velcro system to enable us to adjust the inseam length. Like other manufacturers do. It’s very hard to have them altered with a zipper involved. So an adjustment system is a must. I am new to Kuiu but see the great potential to improve our comfort in the outdoors."

Q&A

Can the Encounter Pant be hemmed? Why do all sizes come with a 34" inseam?? No regular 32" inseam available?? Seems odd!
