Well Designed. Cold Weather Freedom of Movement
"I am in Florida, so all of my hunting gear is very lightweight. I was heading down to Argentina for a winter dove hunt with my son and realized we needed some colder weather gear. Bought this jacket as well as some of the other layers from Cou, which we already know and love. This jacket performed flawlessly. It kept us warm. But more importantly, we were able to shoot with three layers on completely unencumbered with tremendous freedom of motion. This is extremely well designed gear. I couldn’t recommend it enough."

Upgraded for Colorado
"I finally pulled the trigger on a new Axis Hybrid jacket I'd been by hunting in a Cabelas mt50 for a decade. Obviously the new coat was more money but the fit and performance are light years superior. Also picked up a couple of hooded merino blend base layers to replace my older base layers. The Kuiu base feel as good or better than any of my quality ski base layers. Wish they had the thumb holes but wtvr. My buddy insisted that I wear some of his gear last season after I got mine wet ---I was sold after 1 day. I ordered XL base---my size and a 2X jacket extra room and it seems good but I'm tall and lean. If I was thicker then I would up size 1 notch."

"This is my second Axis Hybrid I bought. The 1st was an XL. It fit perfectly but was pretty snug when I wore layers under it. The hybrid is an awesome outer layer. It stops the wind, and keeps you dry."

"Bought the Apex set for my boyfriend and he loves it. A bit more of an athletic fit, has some stretch for under layers but if you like to layer up thick go up a size. Kuiu always has great quality."
